The Bahamas Investment Climate

The Bahamas is an archipelago of more than 700 islands and 2000 cays. At its closest point The Bahamas is only 45 miles from the coast of Florida, United States of America (USA). Independence from Great Britain was gained in 1973. The large majority of the population resides on the island of New Providence, where the nation’s capital Nassau is located, and in Freeport on the island of Grand Bahamas. There are approximately 15 major inhabited islands with smaller settlements are scattered over the Family Islands archipelago.
